In an Amsterdam office a dozen people cover a war three thousand miles away, on shortwave because the Rapid Support Forces can switch off the internet but not the airwaves. Dabanga was built for Darfur in 2008 and still leads on displacement, cholera and atrocity documentation rather than front lines, marking every army and militia claim as a claim.
