> event is covered by news sources around the world, side by side. The
> catalogue holds 457 news sources; 261 of them have a live feed
> TOLD reads continuously. Every source carries a transparent, structural
> classification of its editorial position. TOLD describes coverage; it
> never judges or ranks it.

Every source has a profile page on https://told.news/news-sources with its
country, language, ownership, founding year and editorial position. Source
profiles are searchable there; the search is URL-addressable as
`https://told.news/news-sources?search={term}`.

## How the classification works

TOLD classifies what an outlet publishes over time, based on ownership, funding
and focus. It is a description of a pattern, not a rating of quality and not a
ranking. Nothing in TOLD sorts, hides or promotes a source by its position.
State-aligned and partisan outlets are in the catalogue on purpose, labelled.
